About Joe Husk
In 2016, my wife Malinda and I moved to Benton Township from Perry Township. A few months after attending our first Benton Township meeting, a vacancy opened up – and the rest is history.
Over the past few years, the Benton Township trustee and board have worked together diligently to provide optimal fire protection to township residents. Ultimately, our efforts resulted in Benton Township joining the Monroe Fire Protection District. We also partnered with Stonehugger Cemetery Restoration to restore headstones in our cemeteries, and with Danny Smith Park for improved lighting and other beneficial initiatives. I’m running for re-election because I believe it’s important to continue these and similar efforts to improve services for township residents.
While I was born in Indiana, I grew up in a close-knit rural community in Alaska, which inspired me to give back. I have worked in information technology for most of my adult life and enjoy helping others. I’m a strong listener, have a high level of attention to detail, and believe in honest and hard work.
