Michelle, Hans, Sean, and Joe are running as a slate for Township Trustee and Township Board in Benton Township, in Monroe County, Indiana. Michelle, Hans, and Joe are all incumbents, who have proven that they work well together. Sean ran for a position on the Benton Township Board in 2018, but was defeated by the incumbent Lynn Stevens.

Together, the three incumbents have (together with Lynn Stevens) guided the Township through the difficult years of transition from a volunteer fire service, first moving towards joining a fire territory, and now into joining the Monroe Fire District. This has meant vastly improved emergency services for our residents, reducing response times by an average of approximately 5 minutes, and improving our ISO rating. Depending on the company, this may reduce the cost of homeowner’s insurance.

We believe, given our collective long history of service to this township, that we can provide the experience and security required in the coming years. Benton Township needs thoughtful, dedicated, caring, and experienced leadership as it continues to face issues such as an aging population, inequality in our rural communities, and ongoing public health issues.

Benton Township, like other townships, exists to serve its residents. We’re here for you, and we would be honored to continue being so. We hope to have your votes this November 8th, 2022.
